How to Make Blue Velvet Cake

Ingredients: For the Cake: – 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour – 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1 teaspoon salt

– 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder – 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil – 1 cup buttermilk, room temperature – 2 large eggs, room temperature – 2 tablespoons blue food coloring – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon white vinegar

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.

In another bowl, combine the vegetable oil, buttermilk, eggs, blue food coloring, vanilla extract, and white vinegar. Mix until well combined.

1. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing well after each addition until the batter is smooth. 2. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.

Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

While the cakes are cooling, prepare the cream cheese frosting. In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese and butter until creamy. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and beat until smooth and well combined.

Once the cakes are completely cooled, spread a layer of cream cheese frosting on top of one cake layer. Place the second cake layer on top and frost the top and sides of the entire cake.

1. Decorate the cake as desired, and enjoy your delicious Blue Velvet Cake! Feel free to get creative with the decoration or modify the recipe according to your preferences.
