Strawberry-Mint Lemonade

Ingredients: – 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced – 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, loosely packed – 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

– 1/2 to 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust according to your sweetness preference) – 4 cups cold water – Ice cubes – Mint sprigs and strawberry slices for garnish (optional)

Prepare the Strawberry-Mint Puree: – In a blender, combine the fresh strawberries and mint leaves. – Blend until you get a smooth puree. You can strain the puree if you prefer a smoother texture, but leaving it slightly pulpy adds a nice texture.

Make the Lemonade Base: – In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and granulated sugar. Stir well until the sugar dissolves.

Combine Ingredients: – Pour the strawberry-mint puree into the pitcher with the lemonade base. Stir to combine.

Add Cold Water: – Pour in the cold water and stir again. Adjust the amount of water to achieve your desired level of sweetness and tartness.

Chill: – Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and let the lemonade chill for at least 1-2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.

Serve: – Before serving, give the strawberry-mint lemonade a good stir. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the lemonade over the ice.
